Autonomic Research
I am an independent researcher working in the tradition of integrative physiological synthesis. My focus is the autonomic and respiratory mechanisms underlying stress response and allostatic burden. My current work connects established bodies of evidence in inhaled nitric oxide pharmacology, erythrocyte compartmentalization, and soluble guanylate cyclase receptor pharmacology to generate testable reframings of clinical trial data from critical care populations. I also investigate applied respiratory protocols as mechanisms for autonomic regulation and stress recovery, with specific focus on mindfulness and interoception, nasal nitric oxide delivery, hypercapnia tolerance, and heart rate variability dynamics.
